Information we process

We process your phone number, account identifier, conversations, board comments, group memberships, notification tokens and preferences, abuse reports, and technical access logs. If you contact support, we receive the information in your email. Business operators may also use an email account.

Why we use it

We use this information to verify access, maintain your conversations, deliver notifications, respond to support requests and investigate abuse. Phone verification is controlled by the FINGER server. SMS delivery is not yet connected in the prerelease version.

Who can see it

Group members, including members who join later, can read the group history. A private business conversation is accessible to you and its assigned business representative. Board posts and comments are visible to users with access to that board. Authorized support operators may access content when necessary for service operation or abuse review. FINGER does not promise end-to-end encryption.

Service providers

Hetzner hosts the service. Expo and Apple or Google support mobile notification delivery when you enable it. Once enabled, Twilio will receive the destination phone number and SMS text for delivery; account verification remains on our server. We do not use advertising trackers in this release or sell user information.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and conversation information while the account remains open. Verification records are retained for security; codes stop working after five minutes. You can request deletion through the app or our account deletion page. The implemented customer deletion flow removes the active account, phone number, authored messages and comments, memberships, verification records for that number and session/notification credentials. Other participants' own content remains. Copies others made outside FINGER are outside our control. Business operators must contact support to arrange ownership transfer.

Your choices

You can disable message notifications, block other participants, report content, and contact us about access, correction or deletion of your information. Processing may occur outside your country through our hosting and delivery providers.
